Day by Day

I know I'm telling my age when I recite these song lyrics...

Day by day
Day by day
O dear Lord
Three things I pray
To see thee more clearly
Love thee more dearly
Follow thee more nearly
Day by Day
excerpt from the musical Godspell, c 1973

I don't make resolutions for the new year, but the above represent my heart's desire for 2010.

How about you? What are your aspirations for the coming year?

My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me." And my heart responds, "LORD, I am coming." Psalm 27:8 NLT

I don't do resolutions either. But the last two years have brought a "word for the year." I posted about it and what that looks like for my year ahead.

Lovely song words.

Dawn, knowing what your word was for this past year and how it truly turned out to be...I'm almost afraid to know what your word for 2010 is!! But you know the curiosity is getting the best of me, so off to your blog I go!

Oh the memories of Godspell. Our high school did it one year. Day by day, and breath by breath.

Mine too, Jody...right around the time it came out LOL! I went to a Catholic high school and would you believe that during the intermission they served up watered down wine to the audience? Ahh...life in the early 70s! I almost posted the video just to give my kids a laugh at the "hippies!"

No resolutions here. I know that I'd just be setting myself up to fail. Just being honest here because I know how weak I am.

My aspiration is to walk closer to my Savior this year than in times past.

Have a great week, dear friend. :o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

Hi Gigi,
I have a desire to be missional. However, I can't just leave my responsibilities to go on mission trips. So, I decided to continue doing the things I've been doing and begin another blog that promotes my efforts on Examiner.com.
That is a step up and further, the little money I earn on Examiner will go to a charitable cause this coming Christmas.

I love the words to this song. Oh, that this year I would just long for Him and let the rest go lightly!
