Last night was the visitation at the funeral home. On the way there, Matthew and I listened to K-LOVE on the radio. I felt shored up by the time we arrived. It was wonderful. Truly a celebration of my Sweet Hubby's life. No tears, just happiness, shared stories and joy. I told Matthew that if I had the power to bring him back, I wouldn't...not into that sick body. Today, my Sweet Hubby is healthy and whole. No pain, no cancer. But oh...every breath is so hard without him.
The limo was picking us up at 12:20 today. I spent some time with the Lord and asked that He please give me grace and strength for the day. For me alone, that would have been impossible. I knew I needed the Lord. And oh - He is so good and faithful!
My Sweet Hubby's funeral was just beautiful...it really, really was. He was so well loved and it came through in every word from Pastors Greg and Tom.
And God's amazing grace got me through. Thank you Lord.
"Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 1:3I'd also just like to take a moment to thank everyone who left a comment over the past few days...I haven't responded individually to them because I don't think I'd stop crying if I did. So, please just know how grateful I am to each of you.

Hi Gigi,
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to pray for you and your family. You've been a tremendous example of faith, hope and love. It is my hope that some souls in the world who need the Lord watched and followed your blog. There has been a lot of testimony to many aspects of your Christian walk. From that, they may receive the inspiration they need to seek the Lord.
You sweet woman of God. It has been 9 days since I last checked on your husband. I was taken back by the news of today's post.
I have no doubt that the Holy Spirit has been hovering over you in an especially comforting way the last several days.
I can only imagine the pain and yet joy you must be feeling. Pain that your companion is not in your home with you and joy that he is no longer suffering.
Our church will continue to hold you up as you greive the loss of your Sweet Hubby. Please contact me if you have a specific need you would like us to pray about.
You are such an inspiration to so many, I hope in your time of loss, we can somehow touch your life as you have touched ours.
I'm so glad that you have peace.. and that you have the grace of our precious Lord with you.. and His strength.
I pray that you will be okay in the coming days without your hubby.

Hi Gigi,
There are no words that are adequate. Just know that you are loved, precious, and needed by friends afar as well as nearby. We uphold you in prayer often each day.
You now have a new journey. The Saviour will carry you until you can walk again. Relax your head on his chest. Crying is not only acceptable, it can cleanse some of the pain away.
Blessings and Prayer,
Vicki
Hugs to my Cissa.
Dear Gigi,
Just saw your Weds. post. I've been out of the loop for a few days visiting my mom since she lost her hubby in Feb after close to 50 years of marriage and my dad. God is good though and He does and will carry you. Praying for you, Jody
I don't how to reach out to someone so far away from me - you're not close enough to hug, or to talk to in the middle of the night. But know that I'm giving you a long distance hug - and you have oodles of people praying for you, and caring about you. You'll be in my prayers.
Hi Gigi,
I am praying for you tonight. Know that the Lord loves you and will take care of you.
Blessings and Love,
Vicki
Hi Gigi,
Are you resting o.k.?
My prayers are still being lifted for you. If you feel up to it. Here is a new blog you can visit. I don't know her name. She is new at blogging and she is involved in ministry.
Her blog name is Coffee, God and Me.
Still praying for you and thinking about you. Thanks for the update. I am so happy to hear his funeral went perfectly.
Hugs.
