It was all about praising...no matter what our circumstance, no matter what our mood. If our mouths begin, our minds and hearts follow.
We have been studying the Book of Acts all year in church. Beth's talk today was based on the following Scripture:
"Having received these orders, he put them into the inner cell and fastened their feet in leg irons. Around midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them." Acts 16:24-25Now prior to being imprisoned, Paul and Silas had been severely beaten. Yet they still offered praise and worship to the Lord! Imagine! I loved this part of Acts when our Pastor taught on it earlier this year...SO powerful.
And today's lesson by Beth gave me a new perspective on it as well. Isn't that the beauty of God's Word? Always something to learn! Thanks Beth!
