Remembering...

As I sit here, after midnight, thinking of where I'll be going in a few hours...I can't help but remember.

One year ago, we got these:

and these...

Oh, what a difference a year makes...

My prayer tonight is that I not fall apart in public as I go to cast my vote for Virginia's next Governor.

And Cissa...thanks again for those flowers. And your friendship over the past 365 days (and more).

"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:57 NIV

Hi Gigi,
Thank you for praying for Justin. We hear from him about once a week. We use skype, computer to computer, and a couple of times the video call works so we've seen him. He does have a dangerous job, transporting VIP's around the country. He works with two others in the vehicle they use. He drives, navigates(keeps the driver awake) or is in the gunnery. He is doing well, going to worship services and hanging out with the chaplain. You can pray that I sleep through the night, I wake up with something like a panic attack. Thank you for praying.

Jody ~ as a Mom I can certainly identify with your anxiety. I will add you to my prayer list...rest is crucial; sleep is restorative. And you don't realize how badly you need it until you go without. I totally understand.

Our friendship is priceless and means the world to me. Who else on earth wants to hear what my dog is doing? lol
