As I immersed myself in God's Word, I found beauty waiting for me there as well. Such beauty that I had to share it here with all of you! See if these words don't make you feel jubilant!!
"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance--an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.
So truly be glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold--though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:3-9
There now...don't you feel better having just read those words?? How can you not?! Just like looking out my windows, those words filled me with a feeling of the promise of Spring! New life, hope, beauty...
Have a blessed weekend, my friends! Breathe deeply of the Promise!

Weeping lasts for a while, but JOY comes in the morning! What a beautiful passage God gave us this morning through you - and there is nothing like sunshine and spring in the making to make us feel more alive. I know it has been a dreadfully long winter for you! Have a blessed week-end!
Yes, Gigi, the promises and love in God's word encourages and feeds.
How do people go through this life without the love of Jesus!
You are a blessing to me. So I want you to feel blessed.

Hi Gigi,
The seeming awaking of nature from its winter nap does help. Also, we are reminded again of how the Lord testifies of Himself in His creation.
On the other hand, my job still provides frustration for me. Here is an example;
Last week end, I was on call. I was schedualed to be on call this past Thursday. My boss said she needed me to help out this weekend, I gave my entire Saturday, and twice today, my boss heard me say "no". I reminded her that they have me schedualed to be on call Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this week coming. They seem frustrated with me and I am frustrated with them.
Your post is positive and does help with displacement, but, it won't take away the awkward encounter I must face tomorrow at work. Thanks for trying.
Jim
God's Word is so rich and fills my soul as I look at another day of no sun and lake effect snow, not sure it's going to end this year. Praying God fills your day with his love and grace.
Hang on Jody - Spring is coming! Just this morning I heard the swallows! They have returned to their nest...a sure sign! Have a blessed week!
