A breath of fresh air

I've been absent, I know...it's been a long time coming. I've needed to get away; to hopefully relax a bit and restore my mind and spirit.

So, away I went...

San Juan, Puerto Rico

And then...

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, USVI

Then off again...

Samana, Dominican Republic

Then off to...

Labadee, Haiti

And finally...
Home sweet home

Nine nights total. Long days at sea with my Bible and my balcony. Lots of time to reflect and remember...and I did.

Many days, this is all I saw. And it was enough.

Somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean

God's creation is magnificent...

"God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:10

And so, my dear friends, I would like to thank you for your faithful prayers that have kept my head above the waves these past 7 months. May God bless you richly.

In closing, on this Music Monday, I would like to leave you with this...

Good for you! I am so happy you got to do something so good for yourself. The times at sea were actually my favorite times of the only cruise I've been on.

I love that you ended with It Is Well With My Soul - and especially that version. We sang a wonderful arrangement last Sunday in choir - my dear friend whose son died suddenly last July (age 22) could not sing it with us - not because of the sentiment, but because it was her son's favorite and it was sung at his wedding and the memories are too fresh and painful.

Hello Gigi,

Glad you were able to get away and relax and spend time in God's Word. You are pretty brave to travel all that distance by yourself. I admire that. Don't know if i could do that. The pictures of the blue sea are just beautiful!

Beautiful pictures Gigi of God's awesome creation. I've been stopping by to visit, I guess your reason for being absent is acceptable. :) Missing my dad a lot again as Father's Day approaches wishing I could talk to him about Justin, who is doing well as he prepares to go far, far away. We have a beautiful day here in central NY. I'm glad you had a nice time with your Bible and the Lord.
