Many paths

I read it again just the other day...this time on 9/11:

May we all stand together in peace and harmony with all people and nations and know that there is only one Power that we know by so many names - God, Allah, Mohammad, Buddha, Higher Power, Spirit. These are many wells that all tap into the same river of God.

I cried - out of frustration and sadness. So many are lost on what they consider the "Path of Enlightenment." The one thing I know for certain in this life is that all paths do NOT lead to God. Many of these paths lead straight to destruction and damnation. For eternity. So many lost souls...How many are friends of mine? Of yours? That's why I cry. And pray. And continue to talk to them about the One True Way.

Jesus said: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 NIV) He didn't say, "Pick a road - any road...they all lead to the Father." He said HE is the ONLY WAY. And that NO ONE gets to the Father that doesn't go through Him FIRST.

This morning in my Bible study, I read this:

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.
I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.
Let God's curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed.
Galations 1:3-9 NLT

I know we are living in a culture (especially in this country) of acceptance, "political correctness" and live and let live...and I personally believe that Oprah is responsible for leading more people - especially women - astray with her promotion of so much New Age...*stuff* - for lack of a better word!

*Please scroll down and pause my player before watching video*

Oh how I wish Oprah (and the many others like her) would spend as much time in God's Word as they do in the hundreds of New Age books that are out there...I guarantee they'd find the answers to all their many questions. Every. Single. One.

How do you handle this in your life? I'm certainly open to suggestions!

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12 NIV

And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:14 NLT

I'm so glad you posted that! I too am saddened that so many are led astray by the big lie! I don't know if you've seen the movie "The Secret Life of Jonathan Sperry" but there is a scene that really struck a spark in my heart!

I agree with you about Oprah - she will have a lot to answer for someday. So many think she's the expert in all things "spiritual."

Preach it, Sister! I've seen the Oprah clip, and her viewpoint is very popular these days. Society is replacing God and the Bible with a faulty "judge not" attitude, that results in an "anything goes, you're OK, I'm OK" mentality. And we who cling to the Truth are labeled as bigoted and narrow-minded. If it takes a narrow mind to walk that narrow Way, so be it! :)

Thank you so much for your comments this morning, Gigi. I am so grateful for all the godly friends I have met here in the blogging world. Dwight and I will have a bit of a breather tonight as we go to a company dinner. And in only two more weeks we go to Maine to visit Kev! I can hardly wait.

Today is a huge day in this "situation" - please pray specifically at 3:30 your time for God's will. I will update you a bit later.

Yes, I heard the same about the Boulder fire - a volunteer fireman didn't put out his pit fire properly. Pathetic! And "our" fire was caused by a resident who decided to burn his brush pile - Stupid!! No rain al3pture this morning - underlined, etc., but brought to me today anew. I Peter 1:3-12. Verses 6 and 7- "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may prove genuine and may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Have a good day and I hope your headache is gone!

Hey Gigi, I get frustrated with politics too, and I feel like prayer for revival in America, an outpouring of the Holy Spirit is crucial now....Your posts have got me thinking...So many lost people, it reminds me of what Jesus said on the cross, "Father, forgive them, they know not..."

Blessings to you today Gigi,

Amen, Gigi, Amen.
Thank you for posting the Oprah clip. I've seen it before, but it's an awesome reminder what she (and so many others) believe. May God continue to fill us with courage and boldness as we take a stand for Truth.

I'm also praying for you personally today. I'm asking God to continue to fill you with His comfort and peace. I am so sorry for your loss. May you sense the Lord's presence in very real and significant ways today.

Blessings to you~
Cindy :)
