Fall...Virginia style!

Can you guess what I did this weekend? I won't keep you in suspense...(although I've been known to do that on occasion, haven't I?)

It involved these people...

These views...

And ended with these rewards...

Fresh Apple Cider Donuts...mmmmm!

And.....the star of the show!

Thanks~God willing, see ya next Fall!

God spoke: "Earth, green up! Grow all varieties of seed-bearing plants, every sort of fruit-bearing tree." And there it was.
Genesis 1:11 The Message

We had such a beautiful time and can't wait to do it again! Thanks for adding to the many wonderful memories of picking (and eating) fresh fruit.

Nancy, it was a lovely time on the mountain! Last year it was raining and cold, this year - sunny and warm (even HOT at times!)...but it's always a good time! And yes, it's so beautiful there...sigh...

Matthew...next year (God willing) will be a good harvest! Kimberly is looking forward to joining us, although I fear the mountain will never be the same...

I'm glad you have *wonderful memories* of picking fresh fruit! The years have a way of doing that...I seem to remember a lot of ummm - "comments" - of "migrant farm workers" from you and your brother and sister as you were growing up! Dad and I used to get a lot of laughs from the grumbling the three of you did - but we noticed how the grumbling always seemed to stop when you were eating the "fruits" of your labors!

Love you son! xo
