But we never forget that our help comes from the Lord! We went to 9:15 service and then our 11:00 Sunday School class. Our church does not have a Sunday evening service. Pastor T continued our study in the Book of Acts (21:17-40). He spoke of Paul's humility and his willingness to compromise on non-essential matters in order to win souls for Jesus. The gist of the sermon was that we need to seek to find common ground with others...

Our Sunday School class is studying 1 and 2 Samuel this Fall. Yesterday's lesson was on complete obedience to the Lord (1 Samuel 13:1-15:35) and how Saul's deviation from the Will of God led to his downfall. Great lesson!! I think it's so easy to fall into the trap of picking and choosing how (or how far!) we will obey the Lord. A slippery slope for sure!

I wish you a wonderful week as well!Gigihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03406059147633357805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-976995100931611308.post-85194440887620095922008-10-06T11:29:00.000-04:002008-10-06T11:29:00.000-04:00i don't know much about pancreatic cancer...a talk...i don't know much about pancreatic cancer...a talk on hope sunday by brother uchdorf made me realize your drive for agressive health care is very vital to both your HOPE...and he talked about the results of such hope followed because of your faith as being unvinceablePutzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08480109111920196513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-976995100931611308.post-69509840681493595772008-10-06T00:26:00.000-04:002008-10-06T00:26:00.000-04:00Church was great both times today. Morning sermon was from Acts 3:19, and tonight's sermon was from Ezekiel 22:30-31, standing in the gap.

I hope you and your dear hubby made it to at least one service today. Both would be even better! Hope he's feeling better and has more energy after the transfusions earlier in the week.

Have a great new week, Gigi! :o)

Love and hugs,

DianeDiane@Diane's Placehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10919687116633720697noreply@blogger.com
